The CCHA is a 501 c(3) organization that has been responsible for:
- Collecting and archiving local history of Chisago City & its residents.
- Design and construction of the Vilhelm Moberg statue in Chisago City.
- Publication of 2006 book By The Shores Of Ki-Chi-Saga by Moira Harris.
- Restoration of the entrance pillars of the famous Dahl House Resort.
- Sponsoring the DVD "Dahl House Resort - 1891 - 1940"
- Co-sponsoring 2 local history pageants, "The Ghost of Camp Ojiketa" and "Chisago City: The Town That Moved" as well as DVDs of the shows.
- Hosted Vilhelm Moberg 100th Birthday (1998) with special postal cancellation.
- Walking tours and other community outreach.
